These etudes are based on paintings of the same title by female American painters. Summertime- Mary Cassatt, Jimson Weed- Georgia O'Keeffe, Autumn Leaves-Georgia O'Keefe, My World is Not Flat- Margarete Bagshaw.
I will read the composers program notes aloud before each movement.
